well, there's a lifetime of things to say about my dear father. He was always there me. From when i was little, he didnt say a whole lot but hsi actions spoke louder than words. Mom was the one that said it all !! Dad was gentle and barely raised a hand on us. When i wrecked a couple cars in the rain both times, he just said "i can fix the car, but i cant fix you"! He taught me to throw a football, catch a baseball, fish, ice skate, ride a bike, swim, dive, drive, paint and fix a tire. He never stopped me from doing what i really enjoyed in life. He wasn't too keen me getting my first horse but it was okay. He never got mad with all the animals I brought home or even when I cooked something that wasnt so good. He would just say, "yea, its good, just dont make it again"!!
My husband John cant believe I'm always pulling something on him and he says "where do you get all these crazy ideas?" From you dad..you taught us how to laugh and have fun...
I cant believe you and mom are gone. I still hear both voices in my head all the time. The three words i remember most from Mom first and then they rubbed off on you was "persevere, persevere, persevere". In this crazy world we live in today...we all have to do that.
I really dont know how to go on without you both, thank God Johns here, he is like you in so many wonderful ways. Only you and he can put up with me.
I miss you too much already
I love you daddy
