Ironically I just found out that you are already in Heaven because my wife Joanne of 51 years died a month ago today. God take care of my 2 best friends until we meet again.

Dear sweet "Bumblefoot" - I am so sad to just be learning of your passing. We met in 1985 when you taught me how to be a clown. We stayed in touch all these years through occasional visits, phone calls and letters. The world is a sadder place without you. My condolences to your family. Love, "Clovis"
John I am lost for words on Not being able to talk to you anymore and receive your lovely letters.
We met each other from our Clowns of America Magazone. John saw in the listing that East Haddam Connecticut had a clown Alley called Good News Clowns. He sent me a letter and history and a long friendship pen pal was made! This was at least 25 years ago.
You shared with me many wonderful stories of your children and other grandchildren and how proud you were of each of them. Know your Father cherished each of you. I feel I know all of John's children even though I never met them.
John ,the Gates of Heaven has gained an Angel for sure! Rest in Peace my Friend. I will miss you!💜😪
I will always cherish our 30 plus year friendship...from clowning together to traveling to 11 countries together to our visits to each other's homes to our long talks on the phone. You were so much more than my friend. You were a Dad to me in many ways...you were a spiritual guide to me when I had questions...you lifted me up in so many ways. My heart is both breaking and is full at the same time. Breaking because you are no longer with me in person but full because you were in my life. My thoughts and prayers go out to all those who loved...and will always love...you, "Bumblefoot".
Big John was a lifelong friend to me. I met him when I was 19 through a boyfriend. We broke up, but John remained friends. He even stopped by several years when I was working in Yellowstone National park during college. He was my wedding photographer. Even though, my husband Guy and I moved west, we remained in contact. He wrote amazing letters which had beautiful illustrations on the envelope. He would visit my father in assisted living, and brought him joy and companionship. He was always there for my husband and I and I will greatly miss our visits on porch.
