Lucy had the most beautiful smile & personality!! Our time spent together was ABSOLUTELY not enough....she was such a bright light each & every time we saw her & Tom! They were each other’s lights....may Lucy Rest In Peace; we love & miss her dearly!
It is hard to believe that my Aunt Lucy is gone. She was and is an inspiration to me. Her kindness and compassion and her own example gave me strength and courage in my own life.
As I look back over the course of decades of love and celebration, I remember her love of Christmas. Christmas was not meant to be celebrated for a single day, it was a whole season! She would transform the house and make it into a Christmas showcase -- something not always easy to do in the warm and sunny Florida weather. But it was an attitude -- to celebrate. To enjoy. My Aunt Lucy enjoyed life. She worked hard and showed me the importance of putting forth your best effort. But Aunt Lucy also very much enjoyed the life she had -- in the here and now. And that is what I remember most: We had so many happy Christmases and other times together. My beloved Aunt Lucy simply wanted to have a joyful time whenever and wherever she was. But, yes, Christmas was extra special.
I cherish the time we spent together. And I will always remember her as the person she was: Grounded yet with wings.
Lucy was one of my best friends and we were great friends since 2005 when we were next door neighbors. Lucy had a smile that would lite up the room and a giving nature to all who met her. We shared laughs and tears for many years and always kept in touch no matter what or where we were. We traveled together and ate together and had many adventures together. I loved Lucy like a sister and she warmed my heart by her generosity. I will keep my memories of her close to my me and I know she is with the lord and still taking care of everyone.
