To date, it's hard to comprehend the loss of a friend, colleague, and just a wonderful human being; it seems like a preposterous mistake! Robert has taught me a lot throughout my consulting career and was always supportive in most difficult moments. In my heart, Robert will always remain a young, strong, and full-of-life friend.
I wanted to find words to ease your pain somehow, but it's hard to imagine if such terms exist. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss, Val and Jolene.

You will be greatly missed Rob, I don’t know what to say really other than this one really hurts. You are one of the most stand-up and caring people I have ever met in my life. Even though its been 20 years it seems like just yesterday we were cruising in your cavalier and hanging out at the pool hall with Val, Nick, and Bartz. Some of my fondest memories with you in high school. Rest easy man, we’ll all catch up here soon. You just got a head start.

I met Robert through the FTI Consulting network. I only had the chance to briefly work with him, but we quickly connected for our love of cars. In fact, we discovered that we detailed our cars in the same parking garage! Robert was then gracious enough to ship his left over car wash coins from Florida to DC. I still carry the coin pouch in my car. I am sorry for loss. God bless.

I met Robert when I hired him at FTI Consulting 13 years ago. When one of our projects got in trouble I asked him to assist and, after watching him address the issues in a competent and professional manner, I said "I want him". I worked with him at FTI and Robert followed me to BRG in 2012 and I got to know him well as well as his family. We became good friends, did dozens of training seminars together around the country and he developed into one of the finest construction schedulers in the country. But more important than being a consumnate professional, Robert was a true and genuine human being, a real true friend, a loving husband and terrific father to his two young children. Of all the souls I have encountered during my life, he stands out as the best of the best. I along with many will miss him dearly.

I shared an office with Robert when he started working in Maryland. During this time he was developing his ‘Rube Goldberg proposal machine’. His enthusiasm was infectious. You will be missed Robert. I am so very sorry for your loss Val.
