September 1, 1933 - March 9, 2021
Herman Sadler was born on September 1, 1933, in Carlisle, Kentucky to parents John Chester Sadler and Ethel Minton Sadler. He had 11 brothers and sisters, two surviving siblings, Mr. Billy Ray Sadler and Mrs. Christine Coy. Herman was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Kathy Sadler-Coccia, three grandchildren, Aimee Sanborn, Michelle Font and Christopher Font and also two great-grandchildren, Dylan Sanborn and Isa Font. Herman was stationed in Okinawa, proudly fighting for our country in the Korean war from 1951-1955. He was a loving, caring and devoted husband to his late wife Lois Levon Sadler; married for 64 years. Herman was an active member of Skycrest Methodist Church in Clearwater where he attended services each Sunday with his beloved puppy Emma. Those are the facts about Herman Sadler but he was much more than words can say. In an attempt to do him justice, he was an exemplary devout christian. A true friend to anyone who was fortunate enough to meet him. He was accepting of anyone who came into his life and had no place for judgement. Known as the "Mayor" of Jeffords street, he was there for anyone in need. Born to be a grandfather, or debatably a grandmother due to his maternal instincts, he has more than just his three biological grandkids. He was considered a grandfather to anyone who was important enough to be introduced to him because he then immediately took them under his wing. Even an acquaintance knew he was someone that they had the pleasure of meeting. Truly the glue of the family, neighborhood and community. Anyone fortunate enough to have had him in their life knows the empty feeling to the question, "what will we do without him?". In this difficult time and in the comforting words of grandpa the answer is, " you gotta live your life, sugar.". In lieu of flowers the family wishes for a donation to be made in his honor to Skycrest United Methodist Church for their wonderful compassion and love they showed Herman and his baby dog Emma.
