How can I express my sorrow over the passing of such an amazing lady? I worked with Jean at Northwest Elementary and since we are both retired reconnected at the local YMCA. jean and I also were big TB Lightning fans so we often bonded over their hockey games. Jean always had a great laugh and she loved sharing laughter with everyone she met. When Jean decided to work on her National Board Certification she asked me to mentor her through the process. I was honored to do that. When she became an NBCT we traveled to DC for a convention. I’ll never forget the fun we had. There is a marvelous rainbow story about that trip. I can never see a rainbow without thinking of Jean and smiling. I will truly miss her. My sympathies to Amy and her family, Paul, and her remaining family. Jean was a beacon of love for so many children and others she met along the way. I feel blessed to have known her.
