MARCIA JEAN BLUM, Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother: On November 22, 2021, Marcia Jean Blum of Clearwater Beach, Florida gracefully & peacefully passed away. She was born March 20,1945 in Paris, Texas to her devoted parents, Conrad and June Hlavacek, who have predeceased her. Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Bill who were high school sweetheart’s and married 54 years; 3 children, Bradley (Diana), Bryan (predeceased her) & Stacey; 2 grandchildren, Audrey June and Kyle; 3 sisters Barbara (Sam), Kathy (Joe), Margie (David)And 1 brother Buzz (Diana) Marica lived an adventurous life serving many roles. Raised on a farm in Riverside, Illinois and graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Special Major in Reading. In her work life as a dedicated Reading Specialist, she took pride in teaching children and teenagers how to read. Along with her passion to teach, she was actively involved in supporting & volunteering her time for local Women’s Shelter’s. Marcia was an accomplished competitive swimmer in high school and college specializing in back stroke and free style. She formed, organized, and directed a high school synchronized swim team that performed for many audiences. She had a love to travel the world, garden, exercise, cook, host parties and had an eye for fashion. She was always ahead of the time with her sense of style and love for clothes & shoe shopping with one of her hobbies of making decorative cigar box purses which she gifted and sold. Marcia was a true fashionista !!! She will be remembered fondly for her proper, sweet, kind, loving heart. She showed all of those around her how to live life with grace, style and patience. Marcia was truly a one-of-a-kind soul with a smile that would warm up a room and a spirit that lifted the lives of others. A private family service was held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2022 …date and location will be forthcoming. www.mossfeasterclearwater.com
