Agnes Marian Doubleskey's Obituary
Agnes Marian Hunt Doubleskey, 84, of Clearwater, Florida, died from natural causes on November 29, 2014, at Mease Continuing Care in Dunedin, Florida.
Agnes was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 3, 1930, to William Alphonse Hunt and Julia Marian (Fuchs) Hunt. She grew up in Palmyra, New Jersey, where she graduated from Palmyra High School. She met Stanley John “Jack” Doubleskey, a Navy cook, at a dance, and they married three months later on May 21, 1949.
After moving to South Florida in the late 1950s, they bought a home in Hollywood, and adopted two daughters, Marian Agnes Doubleskey Finehirsh and Jacquelyn Linda Doubleskey Smith. Agnes was a housewife and Jack was a butcher with Pantry Pride. Agnes & Jack retired to their dream home on the water in New Port Richey, where they lived for many years. They later moved to Village on the Green in Clearwater to be closer to their daughter, Marian. Jack passed away on June 29, 2010.
Agnes was preceeded in death by her parents and her loving husband Jack, as well as son-in-law Gary Scott Finehirsh. Survivors include her two daughters, Marian and Jackie (Steffen); four grandsons (Jeff Finehirsh, Jon Finehirsh, Trey Smith and CJ Smith) and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Moss Feaster in Dunedin.
