Alan Barry Adler's Obituary
Alan Barry Adler passed away peacefully, with his children by his side, on the evening of Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida.
The youngest of Jack and Anna (Weinberg) Adler’s three children, Alan was born on February 28, 1946, in the Bronx, New York. He was a decorated Navy veteran, having served his country as a lithographer on the USS Cascade. Alan attended Western Michigan University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Paper Sciences. He then settled in Battle Creek, Michigan with his family.
In 1980 the family moved to Clearwater, Florida where Alan founded Printers Plus/Adler Press. For over two decades his printing company was an integral part of the community, serving local businesses and families with dedication and care. Alan finally retired in the early 2000s to live a fabulous life of leisure.
Alan was a loving father, a devoted son, a loyal brother, a caring ex-husband, and a kind and generous friend to so many. He built a life filled with love and laughter that we were all blessed to share with him.
He is survived by his children, Brooke (Brian Biggs) Adler and Jason (Betsy) Adler, his former wife, Sarah Adler, his sister, Sondra Chase, his brother, Irwin Adler, and his nieces, nephews, and cousins – all of whom he deeply cherished.
A celebration of Alan's life will be held beginning at 1:00 p.m. on March 1, 2025 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home (693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33764). For those unable to attend in person, Moss Feaster has made a live link available so you may join Alan’s celebration virtually.
