Alan Matthew Halbert's Obituary
Alan Matthew Halbert, 62, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2023, at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. Alan was born on November 6th, 1960, the son of the late Matthew Halbert and Mary McCready Halbert in Dumfries, Scotland.
Alan is survived by his wife, Sondra Leary Halbert, who he adored, his son Christopher (Sophia) of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter Kylie (Alec) of Matthews, North Carolina daughter Ashleigh (Michael) of Middlesbrough, England, nephew Timothy Dean, who was like a son to him, of Palm Harbor, Florida, grandchildren Joshua, Olivia, Lucas, and Liam of Middlesbrough, England and the soon to arrive Kinsley of Matthews, North Carolina, sisters-in-law Cynthia Saari (Brad) of Palm Harbor, Florida, Sharon Dindal (David) of Tampa, Florida, brothers John Halbert (Debbie) and Mark Halbert (Karen) and their children of England.
A Service Manager for Hughes Exterminators, he truly enjoyed the people he worked with and met along the way. He was an avid Manchester United and Florida State Football fan.
Alan was an amazing husband and father. He was very proud of all his children and loved spending time with his family. Alan and Sondra met while working on the ships and he enjoyed cruising with his family and friends. He doted on his furbabies, Marky and Fiona (Fifi), catering to all their quirkiness. Losing Alan has left us all heartbroken.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Sept 1, from 5:00pm-7:30pm in Palm Harbor. Please reach out to the family for details. No formal service will be performed per Alan's wishes.
