Albert G. Seither Sr's Obituary
Albert Gaynor Seither of Daytona Beach, FL, died peacefully on November 24, 2018, at the age of 87. Gay was formerly from Greenbank, NJ and Riverton, NJ.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara, as well as his son Albert G. Seither, Jr. (Beth), daughters Pat Quinn (Karl), and Nancy Friday (Don). Grandchildren include Albert G. Seither III (Deirdra), Kristy Sjostedt (Pete), Shannon Rodriguez (Chris), Joanna Bramer (Dan), Brandon Friday (Christine), Bryce Seither and Brett Seither. Great grandchildren include Albert IV, Hero, and Liv Seither, Penelope, Everleigh, and Savannah Rodriguez, Maggie Friday, Declan Bramer, and Caroline Sjostedt. Gay was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Albert Seither, and his beloved Labrador Mitzi.
Gay was born on May 19, 1931 in Riverside, NJ. He graduated from Palmyra H.S. in 1948, and then went on to Penn State University where he played football, was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity, and studied Business before joining his father in running Piping Products, Inc. in Moorestown, NJ. Gay was married to the former Barbara Bitzer in 1953, and they raised their family in Riverton, NJ.
Gay served in the New Jersey National Guard, and was an accomplished businessman, private pilot, avid hunter, fisherman and golfer who was a proud lifetime member of Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey. Gay was also a long time member at Seaview Country Club and Riverton Country Club in New Jersey, and Pelican Bay in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The family would like to thank the wonderful Nurses, Doctors, and Specialists at Morton Plant Mease Hospital in Clearwater for their outstanding care and compassion during Dad’s recent illness. Services will be private, and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Gay’s memory to your local Ducks Unlimited chapter, your local Animal Shelter or Humane Society.
