Alberta "Pinky" DiSalvo's Obituary
DiSalvo, Alberta “Pinky” 78, of Dunedin, went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2016. Pinky was born on June 14, 1938 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Joseph and Katherine “Katie” Fossaty. In 1972, she and her husband Joseph, the love of her life for 58 years, settled in Dunedin, Florida to raise their family. Pinky was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, member of LIADO – The Italian American Women of Today, the Fairway Estates Women’s Club, the VFW and Fleet Reserve Association Women’s Auxiliary and served as a Cub Scouts Den Mother to Pack 240 of Waterbury, CT. She also worked as a Research Analyst for Nielsen Media Research until her retirement. Pinky was above all the most loving, sweet mother a child could wish for. She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph M. DiSalvo, son Michael Joseph (Deborah) DiSalvo and daughter Sandra Lynn DiSalvo, sister Roberta Virginia McKenna, sisters-in-law Sarah Zabara and Frances Rosa, many nieces and nephews and many friends. A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, October 27th at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, October 28th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin and will conclude with entombment in Curlew Hills Memory Gardens.
