Alexander D Sotirellis' Obituary
Alexander D. Sotirellis of Belleair Bluffs, FL and Swannanoa, NC suddenly went Home on April 26, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife of twenty-seven years Doris (Moeller) and his wonderful daughter, Demi Vessa of Basking Ridge, NJ. He will be terribly missed by his devoted son-in-law, Michael Vessa, much adored grandchildren, Kathryn, Mallory and Alex Vessa and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Angelique and Demetrios and sister Audrey (George) Arnas. He was born in Philadelphia, PA. graduated from Olney High School and attended Drexel University. He served his Country proudly during the Korean War as a United States Army Master Sergeant. He began his career in the family restaurant business at the notable State House, Philadelphia, PA. His love for hospitality paved the way to a successful life in restaurant ownership. Along with his business partner, he owned the Bull and Bear Restaurants both New York and Hillsdale, New Jersey, the Crows Nest, Hackensack, New Jersey, The River Boat, New Garfield Jersey, and the Crows Nest, Myrtle Beach, SC. A longtime resident of Clearwater, FL, his trademark smile, exuberant personality and generosity brought joy to all who knew him. Mornings at Panera Bread in Belleair Bluffs, FL will never be the same. He practiced his faith at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Clearwater, FL and was a lifetime member of the Masonic Grand Lodge, Philadelphia, PA. Services will be private.
