Alice Catherine Flanagan's Obituary
Alice Catherine Flanagan, age 96, of Dunedin has sadly passed on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Alice Catherine Flanagan was born on September 19th, 1927, in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Holy Redeemer Elementary in Freeport, and Queen of the Rosary Academy in Amityville. She went to work for Combustion Engineering in New York City. She met and married her husband, Patrick. Together they raised a family on Long Island before moving to Florida in 1974. Her husband, Patrick, passed away in 1979 and after that Alice went “back to school” and became a home healthcare worker. She always loved taking care of people. Alice is survived by her five children, Sheila, Patrick, Neal, Kathleen, and Brian. As well as her grandchildren, Sean, Brendan, and Kimberly. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Canada, Ireland, and France, as well as her local area around Dunedin Florida, antiquing and visiting local businesses. She loved reading and doing her puzzles. She loved supporting our local Tampa Bay area sports teams, sitting with her cats, sipping tea, and regaling her grandchildren with stories, like the time she skipped school to see Frank Sinatra in concert. She was comforted by her great faith in God. She was loved by all who met her, and she will forever be missed.
Her family is planning a Memorial Service in her honor at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Saturday, April 20, 2024.
