Alta Brooks, 82, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warm spirit.
Born on March 19, 1942, in Bainet, Haiti, Alta was the beloved daughter of Dania Chanea and Estirenne Chanea. She was a cherished mother to Linda McDonald and a loving sister to Rosemela Chanea, Dieula Chanea, and Noeli Chanea. She was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Tyler McDonald and Preston McDonald.
Alta dedicated much of her life to her work as a publix attendant, where she found joy in socializing and connecting with people. She was also a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Church, where she nurtured her faith and community.
Alta will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service for Alta will be held on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 3pm at All Saints Catholic Church, 2801 Curlew Rd, Clearwater FL, 33761. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to join. Burial will be held private.
