Al Tower stands tall among the thousands of volunteers who supported the Abilities Foundation’s mission to improve the lives and families of Floridians and veterans with disabilities. He was a consummate gentleman, ambassador, and benefactor for whom I had enormous respect and admiration. Although I didn’t know he was a WWII Army veteran, I’m not surprised. Al epitomized the essence of The Greatest Generation. He and Nan will never be forgotten.

My sympathies to Al’s family. I’ve known Al since I was in Pharmacy School and he was always so kind to me. He always had a smile and was always quick to offer encouragement if it was needed. I marveled at his ability to convince people to join the FPA or give donations to the Florida Pharmacy Foundation! Al we will miss you. May you rest in peace. Kathy Petsos
