Amanda Elaine Gill's Obituary
Amanda Elaine Gill, 35, of Marietta, GA passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 13, 2023.
She was born in Clearwater, FL at Morton Plant Hospital where her Dad often joked that he paid extra for her crystal blue eyes.
Amanda spent the majority of her childhood education at Northside Christian School where she played volleyball, baseball, and basketball. Amanda graduated from Clearwater High School in 2007.
While attending USF as a full time student, she enjoyed working at Busch Gardens where she was named employee of the year. Amanda was the first undergraduate class at USF to graduate with a degree in Public Heath in 2011.
Amanda has always had a passion to work with people with infectious diseases and always said she wanted to work at the CDC or in Africa to help AIDS patients.
Upon graduation Amanda’s career path would lead her across many different cities starting in Gainesville, FL; Gainesville, GA; Athens, GA; Anderson, SC; and her final resting place of Atlanta, GA where she was working at Piedmont Hospital as an Infectious Disease Prevention Specialist.
Amanda was a loving and compassionate person who was a joy to be around. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul.
Amanda loved spending time with her family, going to the mountains, going to art shows, going to the beach, and taking her dog to the lake.
The relationship she had with her brother, was very precious. Amanda was a wonderful big sister that taught him a lot and she always had his back.
Most of all Amanda loved and adored her Australian Shepard fur-baby, Oakley. There was nothing that she wouldn’t do or buy for her.
She will be deeply missed by her parents, Jim and Denice Gill; her brother, Matthew; her Australian Shepard fur-baby, Oakley; her God daughter, Carrigan; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Amanda was definitely worthy of love.
