Andrea Bliziotes Bunker, 80, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away February 12, 2026.Born on June 26, 1945, in Gainesville, Florida, Andrea was the eldest daughter of Rebecca and Alexander Bliziotes. She grew up in Gainesville alongside her siblings, Mike Bliziotes and Cynthia Merkey.Andrea attended the University of Florida, where she earned her master’s degree in psychology and counseling. During that time, she met her first husband, Reynold Caleen, and together they welcomed two sons, Eric Caleen of Clearwater, Florida, and Michael Caleen of Apex, North Carolina.Throughout her life, Andrea dedicated herself to helping others. She worked as a paralegal earlier in her career before moving into various counseling roles. Her passion for supporting people extended far beyond her profession—she devoted many years volunteering with Suncoast Hospice and at a crisis center, where she spent countless hours offering comfort and guidance to those in need.Andrea later married William “Bill” Bunker and became a family of 5, adding 3 step children into her life. They shared 27 years of marriage before his passing in 2006. Though she never remarried, she found companionship again with her life partner, Mike Lawson, with whom she shared 12 years before his passing in 2021.Andrea will always be remembered for her remarkable kindness, generosity, and selflessness. She was a passionate advocate for mental health and had a deep love for animals, especially older rescue dogs. Her beloved rescue dog, Cookie—adopted from SPCA Tampa Bay—was often described by Andrea as her best friend.She found joy in reading, learning new things, volunteering, playing piano, traveling and exploring new places with family, and most of all spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren. Andrea’s life was defined by caring for others, and everyone who met her quickly recognized her gentle spirit and generous heart.Andrea is survived by her sons, Eric Caleen and Michael Caleen; her siblings, Mike Bliziotes and Cynthia Merkey; and her five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Andrea’s memory to the SPCA Tampa Bay, the organization where she adopted her beloved dog, Cookie.Andrea’s compassion, kindness, unconditional love, and devotion to family will live on in the many lives she touched.
