Annabel Cynthia Sanger Sparks
August 21, 1921 - June 11, 2017
Annabel Cynthia Sanger was born in Minneola, Florida on August 21, 1921 to Samuel Henry Sanger and Nelly Grant Henderson. Annabel went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 11, 2017 after a brief stay at the Bay Pines VA Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. She graduated from Bible school in Nyack, New York hoping to be a missionary in Africa. The Lord led her in a different direction because of World War II and she instead served in the Women's Army Corps from September 1943 to February 1946. She met her husband, William Chadwick (Chad) Sparks in Orlando, Florida at her first job following her discharge. They were married in 1946 and raised five children Orlando, Florida.
Annabel was known for her steadfast devotion to God and her family. She was a faithful prayer warrior and had a passion for helping missionaries to spread the word of God. Her prayers and friendship will be missed around the world by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chad Sparks and two sons, George Chadwick and Paul Lawrence. She is survived by daughter, Lorraine Sparks Cameron in North Carolina; son, John Merlin Sparks in Florida; and son, Roger William Sparks in Minnesota. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Countryside Baptist Church in Clearwater, Florida at 2:30 PM, on Friday, June 16th.
