Anne C Brumback's Obituary
Anne Cegelis Brumback, born October 25, 1931, Pittsburgh; passed away April 4, 2017, Clearwater, FL. Family was always first and foremost to Anne, and she is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Colonel Robert M. Brumback; sister Mariellen Jeffers of Deland; her children Michael Cegelis (Linda) of Winter Park, FL; Patty Rilling (Steve) of Clearwater; grandchildren Andrew Rilling and Lauren Rilling Jones (Holt), Matthew, Philip, and Patricia Cegelis, and great grandchild Jase Jones. She is predeceased by her husband Norman M. Cegelis, and mother Anne B. Swinney. Anne grew up in wartime Pittsburgh, tough as steel, patriotic, a believer in hard work, and above all the bonds of family. She worked all her life, including a 30-year career in professional real estate. She loved her adopted home of Florida from the family’s first move to the state in 1971, taking up golf as a family sport and enjoying the beauty of our beaches and waterways. Anne and Colonel Bob enjoyed these pursuits together, and also traveled throughout the world on sightseeing and golfing trips, and to visit family. They have been longtime members of the Belleair Country Club, and have treasured their many friendships there. Anne continued to look after her brood through her whole life, with decisive advice - sought or not - on right and wrong, delivered with love. Anne is dearly loved by her whole family. She lives on in her love and life lessons in all of us. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1:30 PM at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, 820 Jasmine Way, Clearwater. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Morton Plant Mease Health Care Foundation, 1200 Druid Road South, Clearwater, FL 33756.
