Anne Coachman Epling's Obituary
Anne Coachman Epling, 84, of Clearwater passed away June 17, 2017. Anne was preceded in death by her husband Karl David Epling and her brother Sammy Coachman. She is survived by her four children, Karl David Epling Jr., of Lexington, KY., Patti Epling Jones (Bill Jones) of Fairview, TX., Janie Epling Miller (Tom Miller) of McKinney, TX., and Kenton Candler Epling of Clearwater, FL, five grandchildren, Addison William Jones III, David Reid Jones, Alexander Samuel Miller, Noah Thomas Miller and Megan Elizabeth Miller, all of Texas and numerous cousins. Anne and Dave lived many years in Kentucky before returning to Anne's home of Clearwater in 1996. She is the daughter of Samuel Candler Coachman and Lucy Cobb and the granddaughter of S.S. Coachman and Jesse Candler.
Anne attended Clearwater High School, Centre College of Kentucky, received her Masters in library science at the University of Kentucky, and worked twenty years as a reference librarian. Once retired she enjoyed traveling the world, going places such as Africa, Australia, and Europe, with England being one of her favorite destinations. She was a long time member of Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church. Her activities included volunteering at Heritage Village, being a member of Pinellas Pioneers and Clearwater Historical Society, Casado Club, the Clearwater Garden Club, and the "Coachman Board". A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 24th 2017, 10am at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, 110 S Ft Harrison Ave, Clearwater. In lieu of flowers , a donation may be made to Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church, Suncoast Hospice of Palm Harbor, FL., or a charity of your choice. Anne's family would like to express their gratitude to Suncoast Hospice of Palm Harbor for the loving care she received.
