Susan De Nicola
Anthony Allis was my8th grade social studies teacher at Olinville jr. high school. (PS 113) on 216/217 street in the Bronx NY. Tony was an inspiration for me becoming a social studies teacher too. I used many of his classroom procedures in my own classroom being very successful. Even though I was only 13 at the time I remember him fondly. I have just recently retired from teaching myself. He was easily recognizable from his photo on the internet, he never changed from 1963. How I remember his handwriting on the board he hated it so much he a Picke a monitor to write notes on the.board so we could update copy them in our classnote section. I wish I looked him up sooner to speak to him. Tony knew my father well Vito the both worked during the summers driving kids to summer camps for Varsity bus.I will always remember Mr. Allis....may he Rest In Peace.
With much affection to all of you. joe DeNicola
