Anthony N. Longo's Obituary
Anthony Longo, 86, passed away on Monday, January 6th. He was born on January 21,1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Jennie Longo.
Tony grew up in Brooklyn NY and moved to Florida where he resided for thirty years. His last place of residence was in Palm Harbor Florida at the Coral Oaks assisted living facility.
As a young adult Tony was an army MP and stationed in New York City. His professional career included a position as an air flight calibrator and a fire marshal. During his life he enjoyed dancing, traveling and playing cards.
Tony is survived by his loving sister Santa Averinos and sister-in-law Nancy Longo. He also leaves behind his children Anthony and Stephen Longo, stepchildren Patricia Niedergang, Karl Kjellstrand and Susan Gerometta, grandchildren Joseph and Stephanie Longo, as well as many nieces, and nephews and other relatives.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Jenny, his wives, Ann, Pauline and Rose, his siblings Joseph, Vincent and Salvatore.
He will be missed by his many friends in Palm Harbor and the residents and staff at Coral Oaks.
There will be a morning visitation at the Deluca Mayflower Funeral located at 1275 65th St. Brooklyn, NY on Monday January 13th., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Athanasius Church 2164 61st St. Brooklyn, NY at ?? AM. A private burial will follow at Green Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn New York.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of choice.
