Anthony M Polio's Obituary
POLIO, Anthony M 88, passed away December 19, 2018. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and was born and raised in New Haven, CT before moving to Florida in 1974 where he owned Tony's Shoe Repair Shop in St. Petersburg for many years. Anthony was many things: a pilot, a sailor, a Yankee fan, a train enthusiast, and a builder of houses, dune buggies, and model trains but most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren. Anthony is survived by his children John Polio, Debbie Orne (Douglas), and Jim Polio (Amy); grandchildren Elizabeth Orne, Alex Polio, Elise Polio, Tony Polio, and Ellie Polio; and sister Lenora Houle. He will be interred at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
