Anthony Francis Prestipino's Obituary
In Loving Memory of Anthony (Tony) Prestipino
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) Prestipino, aged 87, on July 14th in Clearwater, Florida. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Tony was a man of strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Born in New York City, he devoted his life to caring for those around him—through his Deli Ownership, his dancing, or his heartfelt conversations, he had a gift for making others feel loved.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dolores, who passed away in July 2010. Their marriage was a cornerstone of his life, and those who knew Mom and Dad witnessed a bond filled with love, laughter, cruising, dancing, and loving their family. Together, they created a home full of warmth and memories that will be cherished.
He is survived by his three children, Suzy (Bill), Joe (Michelle), and Marc (Terra), and his cherished grandchildren (Maria, Michael, Carson, Griffin, Aiden, and Gracyn). His role as “Papa” was one he embraced with love and pride, always there for their sporting events…watching their concert performances…helping out whenever needed…going to Busch Gardens…or just telling a story. His spirit will be with all of his family always. His legacy lives on in the lessons he shared, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Clearwater (Mom & Dad’s church)…all who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
