Arthur R. Thuerk's Obituary
Arthur R. Thuerk, 92, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on April 19th, 2022, in Tarpon Springs. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He moved to Clearwater from the Chicago area in 1982. He was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church and was active in the Knights of Columbus for over 30 years. His proudest career accomplishments include managing the eastern region for Triumph Motorcycles and working as a teacher in the City of Chicago.
Arthur is preceded in death by his loving wife, Hester Thuerk, his sister Betty Zonca and her husband Gene, and his daughter in law Judy Thuerk. He is survived by his sons Richard Thuerk and his wife Maggie of Brooksville, Michael Thuerk of Dunedin, and his daughters Jane Frazier and her husband Dave of Odessa, and Deanne Potter and her husband Mike of Newton, IL. Survivors also include his grandchildren Jamila Lepore, Michael J. Thuerk, Lexi Frazier, David J. Frazier and Allyson Squitiro, along with four great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at Espiritu Santo in Safety Harbor on Friday, May 6th at 10:00 AM. A private burial will take place at Bay Pines National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Knights of Columbus Assembly #2474, Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, or a favorite charity of your choice.
