Barbara B. Seither's Obituary
Barbara B. Seither, 88, of Clearwater, formerly of Daytona Beach, FL, Greenbank, NJ and Riverton, NJ. passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 under Hospice Care. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Albert Gaynor Seither, Sr, who passed away November 24, 2018.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Nancy Friday (Don) and Pat Quinn (Karl), and son Albert G. Seither, Jr. (Beth). Grandchildren include Brett and Bryce Seither, Brandon Friday (Christine), Joanna Bramer (Dan), Shannon Rodriguez (Chris), Kristy Sjostedt (Pete), and Albert G. Seither III (Deirdra). Great grandchildren include Caroline Sjostedt, Declan Bramer, Maggie Friday, Penelope, Everleigh, and Savannah Rodriguez, and Albert IV, Hero, and Liv Seither.
Barbara was born on June 30, 1930, in Haddonfield, NJ, to parents Helen and Raymond Bitzer. She was sister to the late Landy, Tom, and Don Bitzer, and Rachel Ann Greenwood. Barb graduated from Haddonfield Memorial H.S. in 1947 where she was a Varsity Cheerleader. Barbara then went on to Taylor Business School. Barbara married Gay Seither June 6, 1953, and they raised their family in Riverton, NJ where she was an active volunteer at the hospital, and with the Red Cross Blood Drives. Barbara was an avid golfer and member of both the Riverton and Seaview Country Clubs in New Jersey, and Pelican Bay Club in Daytona Beach, Florida. Barb was the first woman to serve on the Board at the Riverton Country Club. She also served as a Deacon at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverton, NJ and at United Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach, FL.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor for their outstanding care and compassion during Mom’s recent illness. Services will be private, and in lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Barbara’s memory to your local hospice, the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
