Beatrice V. Lembo's Obituary
Beatrice "Bea" V. Lembo, 97, passed away peacefully on July 3rd, 2020, in Largo, Florida. She was born on March 30th, 1923 to Lester L. and Loretta (Caffiero) Hymes in Bronx, New York. She married her first husband, John Ghiloni, in June 1941. John re-enlisted in the Navy shortly after and was killed on a secret mission in March 1942. In May 1942, Bea & John's daughter, Judith Hope, was born. She later remarried Anthony Lembo, who predeceases her. Together they moved to Florida in September 1989 from Hempstead, New York. During her life, Bea worked for Bulova Watch as a wirer/solderer, as well as Grand Villa of Largo where she was a receptionist. She also volunteered at Largo Medical Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, and attending 4 o'clock mass at St. Catherine of Siena. She was also active in the kitchen and craft club at Paradise Island. In addition to John & Anthony, Bea is predeceased by her brother Jack Hymes, and sisters Sylvia Bernhard and Mildred DiSanto. Bea is survived by her loving daughter, Judith Hope Sherlock and her husband Thomas, her grandchildren Bryan Jason & Kevin Timothy, her great-grandchild Bryanna Sherlock and Alysen Sherlock who is expecting Ellie Bea in December, and lastly her two great-great-grandchildren Ayden & Aniyha. A visitation will be held July 9th from 4-6 PM with a vigil service at 6PM. A Funeral Mass will be held July 10th at 10AM at St. Catherine of Siena in Clearwater, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Bea's name to Suncoast Hospice.
