Bertha Irene Clouse's Obituary
Bertha Clouse, a longtime resident of Dunedin, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on November 22, just days short of her 91st birthday.
Bertha was born in New Haven, CT, on November 24, 1925. Bertha was predeceased by her husband, John Arthur Clouse, in 1973. She had been a resident of Cheshire and Redding, CT, prior to moving to Dunedin in 1975. In addition to being a voracious reader, she enjoyed bingo, baking for friends, and needlecraft. Bertha was kind, generous, quick with a smile, and able to make anyone immediately feel welcome.
Bertha was a loving mother to her three children—John Clouse, Jr., of Saranac Lake, NY, JoAnne (Thomas) Broe of Prospect, CT, and Cody Jarrett of Los Angeles, CA. She was incredibly proud of them as well as her four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in Connecticut at a date to be determined. Memorial gifts may be made in Bertha’s honor to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL, 33760.
