Betsy Riva Yantis Lockhart, 58, passed away on March 1, 2025. She a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Born on July 7, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio, Betsy was the daughter of James Yantis and Linda Lou Ilo. She worked as an optic specialist at Essilor of America and Tri-City Optical, where she was known for her dedication and expertise.
Betsy was a woman of faith and was proud of her Catholic beliefs. She had a passion for fishing, cherished her time at the beach, and was an avid football fan. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her loving children, Kasey Lockhart, Leah Lockhart, and Alana Cole; her brothers, Shawn Yantis, Scott Yantis, and Craig Yantis; and her sister, Molly Sue Yantis. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Haylee Bohrer, Jaycee Burford, Kayden Gutek, Noah Bauder, Daniel Beck Shawna, and Shealyn Cole, and her father James Yantis. She is predeceased by her step father Jim IlO.
Betsy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and love for her family will forever remain in our hearts.
