Betty G. Crossman's Obituary
Betty G Crossman a long time resident of Spring Hill Florida passed away on Thursday, November 26th under the care of Suncoast Hospice. Betty was preceded in her death by her husband Alfred Crossman Sr and is survived by two sons Alfred Crossman Jr. of Dunedin Florida and David Crossman of Newcomerstown Ohio. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Betty was born and raised in Perry NY and graduated from Perry High School. Most of her adult life was spent in Erie Pa where she was a home maker. It’s appropriate that she passed on Thanksgiving Day as this was her favorite holiday. She will always be remembered for her love of cooking and entertaining, especially at the holidays. In addition to cooking Betty enjoyed reading, watching all kinds of sports and was an avid card player.
Betty and her husband Al moved to Florida in the early 1980’s and enjoyed the Florida lifestyle. They often entertained friends from “up north” and spent time with their kids and grandkids. Betty developed a love of the Florida Gators after two of her grandchildren graduated from the University. She never missed a Gator football game on TV and also enjoyed Gator basketball.
She will always be remembered for her independent spirit and her love of life.
A private celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
