This Memory Book will be permanent and not disappear from one day to the next as so many social media posts do. I encourage everyone to please share a memory. “It was a privilege just knowing her” and “class act” are quotes from elsewhere but the best way I can sum it up. Betty is my beautiful mother-in-law. I was honored to have her stand by my side as my Matron of Honor when I married her son, Kevin, 18-1/2 years ago. As a “new girlfriend” meeting Betty for the first time was easier than I expected. Her approachableness and accepting demeanor instantly set me at ease. She was always quick to listen and slow to speak. She only gave her opinion if you asked for it. And when you received her words of wisdom … well, “that’s the way the cows ate the cabbage” one of her endearing sayings, and you best listen. A genuinely loving, caring, nurturing, understanding, giving woman. She commended and showed appreciation when it was due. Skip has lost his sweetheart of 61 years (just 1 week shy of 62), Al and Kevin lost their mother, Sonny & Patty lost their sister, grands and great grands, nieces and nephews have all lost someone very special. Not to mention the lives of hundreds of people she touched in her hometown, in college, in her nursing career, the Bridge girls, the golfing buddies, PEO, Red Hat Society, etc. I love her dearly and will miss her terribly. Let’s celebrate Betty! Please share your memories with the family!
