Miss you Mom
Dear Sandra, Diane, Steven, and Gail:
I am so sorry about the loss of you mother. I watched the video of your mom on the Moss Feaster website. Thank you for sharing your memories and pictures of her life.
I remember your mom and dad from the time I knew them both years ago -- shortly after I moved from the Chicago area to Clearwater in 1969.
I came to know Bob and Beverly – if I am remembering this correctly – through your dad’s aunt, Isabelle Linfor.
Isabelle and I both worked at the Pinellas County Title Company located on Court Street.
Isabelle and I carpooled together – and Isabel was always the driver – since I did not know how to drive at that time. I had previously lived in the Chicago area where there were numerous modes of transportation, so it did not seem critical for me to learn how to drive.
That all changed when I moved here. The lack of reliable, dependable, well-timed transportation was a culture shock. I enrolled in a local driving school but failed at my first attempt to pass the driving test.
I needed more practice before my next attempt. Isabelle introduced me to your dad, and thus I was able to engage your dad’s services to practice and help me successfully pass the driving test on my second try.
I felt most fortunate to get to know your family back then. I happened across your mom’s obituary, and I find it comforting to see her surrounded by your family growing and expanding over the past years in the memorial video.
Please know that your family has been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be so.
