Billy C Hayes' Obituary
Bill C. Hayes, 84, of Clearwater, FL went to meet his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.
Viewing will be Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 10:00 – 12:00 noon, with funeral services following from noon to 1:00 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd. Clearwater, FL 33764.
Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda, two sons, Wm. Scott Hayes (Jennifer) of Holland, MI, and Brian C. Hayes (Rebecca) of Largo, FL. He is also survived by two of three sisters, twin Betty Jo Converse of Ft. Mills, SC and Pamela McKinney of Shelby, OH, two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, 3 nephews, one niece, a multitude of cousins, close friends and beloved dog, Buster.
Bill began his career as a salesman in contract hardware; went on to be successful in the rope and shrink-wrap industry, and finally ended his career in the production department of Catalent Pharmaceuticals of St. Pete, FL.
In life, Bill was active in the Nazarene Church as a Boy Scout leader, Cub Scout leader, and Caravan Guide. Within the churches he attended, Bill served on the church boards as head and member of the Trustee’s Committee, bus driver for church activities and both the Teen and Senior Adult groups. He also served as maintenance man for Shepherd’s Care Day Care at Clearwater First Nazarene. He was always willing to jump in and help wherever needed. He coached the CFN youth basketball team to victory in District competitions. As a dad, he supported his son, Brian during middle and high school football and wrestling seasons by never missing a game or meet.
Bill loved his God, his church, and his family. We are saddened by his passing and will miss him in our lives.
