Bobby Glenn Anderson Jr.'s Obituary
Bobby Glenn Anderson, Jr., passed away last Saturday at age 58 as a result of a boating accident.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Futral-Anderson of Clearwater, and his parents, Bobby Glenn Anderson and Sara Ellen Anderson of Macon, Georgia, his daughter Maggie Jenkins (Brent) his sons Max Glenn Anderson, and Lee Hornsby (Mallory) and grandson Ace. He is also survived by his sister, Jenni Edwards (Gary) and nieces Meghan, Tory, Maddie and his brother Phillip Anderson (Mary Beth) and niece Caroline.
Glenn loved all of his family and was especially proud of his three children. Glenn was an avid outdoorsman and athlete. He played college football for Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, and graduated in 1980 with a business degree.
He worked for Georgia Power and Southern Company for 18 years. From 1999-2012 he worked for the Xerox Corporation where he and Rebecca met. Most recently he worked for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Co.
Glenn embraced all of his family and a wide circle of friends. He and his wife Rebecca found a beautiful church family at Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church in Clearwater. Glenn served there as a church Elder and helped in many other important roles.
In his spare time, he loved building and creating things. He and Rebecca restored several houses together. He loved landscaping and caring for gardens. Most of all he loved the beautiful world of the outdoors, especially fishing and boating. His sudden passing saddens all who knew him. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and church community.
