I first met Bob when he came out to our home to offer us insurance coverage. That started a very long relationship that I always enjoyed.
I would go to his office to discuss an insurance issue and we would wind up talking about everything BUT insurance. I would look at my watch to find we had been talking sometimes for 2 hours.
I respected his counsel and took his advice.
He was always happy, witty, and smart as a whip and it was an honor to know him.

Rest in peace to one of the most incredible men I've ever known. He was a role model for me, and he instilled in me the importance of motivation. His advances is microwave spectrometry changed the world. Without him, the Apollo missions never could have happened. He was an incredible scientist and a wonderful grandfather. I hope that one day I can be like the man he was. I'll miss you, Gagi.
Ever since I was very young and throughout my years growing up, Gagi has always been best grandfather I ever had. He was also the father I often wish I had. I will always remember him as the kind, loving, funny person who could make me smile, laugh, and see things in a way you couldn't imagine. I will never forget the wonderful times we shared together and I will carry them forever.
The last time I saw him which was a month ago, he talked about the travels he made around the country as a young man. Some of them were interesting and hilarious! In that brief time, he sounded like the old Gagi I remembered.
Now my beloved grandfather and father is gone and I can't describe the sorrow and emptiness that I feel. At least now he is in a better place and free of his pain. I love you, Gagi. I'll miss you! And thank you for the wonderful times we shared and cherished.
So saddened by Bob’s home-going, but our loss here is certainly Heaven’s gain. Our love and prayers go out to Gay, Neva and Craig and their families. Bob was not only a brilliant man, but a gentle and compassionate one. He loved God, lovely Gay, his family, and his many, many friends. We were blessed to know him for almost 40 years, and opened many a Sunday school class together at Skycrest Baptist with music and singing. Every once in a while he would slip in a “Georgia foot-stomping” piece that I was challenged to sight read! Those were delightful years, and we have many wonderful memories of shared times together. The Lord is coming soon, and we will see Bob again!

I met Bob at Skycrest Baptist Church almost 18 years ago and was honored to serve with him on the Finance Committee. I wd have never imagined how dear a friend and mentor he would become to me. Brilliant, kind and generous, he taught me to have a strong faith and perseverance in spite if my circumstances. He was the grandfather I never had...and I will never forget our many talks and meals at his favorite restaurants, Steak N Ale and Red Lobster. And I always brought thr coupons. I will miss him dearly. My prayers and thoughts are with Gay, Craig and the family. He loved you all so much and was so proud of his grandchildren.
