Bobby J Morton's Obituary
Bobby Joe Morton, 80, of Tomball, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015. He was surrounded by his loving family in the Dunedin area and his beloved dog, Rerun. Bobby was born in Seminole, OK, the youngest child of nine of Sarah Alta and David Filmore. He attended University of Oklahoma on a football scholarship where he played guard. Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary (Fry), and the couple had two children, Robert (“Jr.”) and Sherri. The couple raised their children in southern California. Bobby remarried Joyce (Welte), and they had Sean and Shannon. Bobby worked as a supervisor at the Richmond Paper Company in southern California for 15 years, and later as a supervisor at the Igloo manufacturing facility in Houston, TX, for 20 years, where he lived with his third wife, Donna. Bobby is preceded in death by Rosemary, Joyce, Donna and his daughter, Sherri. After retiring, Bobby went on to work at Klein’s Super Market and HEB Texas Grocery. He worked at HEB until a few months before he passed away—he really enjoyed meeting people and being part of the community. A true people person! Bobby loved spending time with his children and their families: Robert, his wife Linda, and their children Matthew and Carina; Sherri’s two daughters, Amber and Brandi, and their children; Sean, his wife Laura, and their children Ashley and Jeremiah; Shannon, her daughter Desiree and Desiree’s son. He is also survived by his sister Anne and brother Jim. Bobby adored his Pomeranian, Baloo, and Pomeranian Sheltie mix, Rerun. He was an avid sports fan, too. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Humane Society at www.humanesociety.org.
