Brent Lowell Harmon's Obituary
Brent L. Harmon was born February 22, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Rebecca and Elvin Harmon. He graduated from Clearwater High School in 1965 , and went on to get his college degree in Business Administration from The University of South Florida. Brent served in The United States Navy. Brent Harmon was an accomplished business man, entrepreneur, and mentor to many. Brent and his father Elvin “Al” Harmon started the 1st All Sports Radio station in the southeast, WFNS 910 AM in 1985. Throughout Brent’s life he owned several other successful businesses including restaurants, a children’s wholesale clothing Business, and the largest dry cleaning business in Dallas, Texas to name a few. His passion in life was his deep love for Christ and family. Brent was happiest when surrounded by family and serving as a Stephen Minister and Guardian Ad Litem.
Brent Harmon is pre-deceased by his father Elvin “Al” Harmon. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Susan, sons Brent and Travis Harmon, his loving mother Rebecca Harmon, his brother Kevin & sister-in-law Joanne Harmon & sister Becky Harmon. Brent has four granddaughters Ashley, Gabrielle, Amber & Ava, nieces & nephews, April, Cindy, Denny, Carie, David Michael, Shana , Brandon, Corey, Erika & Laura. He had 10 great nieces & nephews. He was deeply loved and greatly missed by his brothers & sisters-in-laws, Kenny, Jennie, Hermitt, Sharon, Peter & Brenda Weldon, Beverly & Ty Womack & James and Gina Workman. Brent had a contagious smile and his compassion and love for others showed in his daily life.
A Celebration for Brent’s life will be held on February 13th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at The Skycrest United Methodist Church at 2045 Drew Street Clearwater, Florida 33765. Reception following the service. For online condolences please visit www.mossfeasterclearwater.com
