Cameron Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, Cameron 87, formerly of Duluth, passed away September 2, 2017 in Dunedin, Florida.
Cameron’s love of life and good hearted nature endeared himself to all who knew him. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Cameron served as choir director for many local churches in Duluth as well as barbershop quartets and women’s groups and was a music teacher at Floodwood Secondary School and Hermantown High School. Cameron proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. In 1951, he married the love of his life, Betty Bonnette Johnson in Grand Forks North Dakota.
Cameron is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty; children Mark Johnson (Linda), Kevin Johnson (Karen), Denae Nadeau (Clem), Denise Porter (Rick); daughters-in-law Lynn Olson and Debbie Zaudtke; grandchildren Amy, Ryan, Lindsey, Katy, Matthew, Emily, Andrew, Sarah, Kristen, Ian, and Craig; and great-grandchildren Tori, Tyler, Jack, Annie Rose, Clare, and Wesley. He was preceded in death by his son Craig in 2015.
A memorial service is planned in Duluth, at a later date to be determined, in the Spring of 2018.
