She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mabel and Albin J. Stang; two brothers, Thomas Stang and Alan Stang (KIA during WWII in France in 1945); and two husbands Harold A. Larsen and William Hrymack. She married Harold Larsen in 1943 and was widowed in 1957, at the age of 32 with 4 small children ranging from 2 to 10 years of age. Within two years, she moved her four children and aging father to Clearwater, Florida, which required learning to drive among other challenges. She had no family there, but she became a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church of Clearwater, and became a member of the church family. Her primary focus was caring for her children and her father, but after the children were grown and her father had passed away, she took a part time job at the Fort Harrison Hotel in downtown Clearwater as a banquet waitress where she met and later married William Hrymack in 1975. She was widowed for the second time in 2001.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be sorely missed by her family who are grateful for her life and her contributions to the happiness of so many. She will also be remembered as an inspiration for her strength and courage at a time of tremendous hardship, as well as her kindness, patience, and her sense of humor.
As a breast cancer survivor, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
