Caroline Louise Watt's Obituary
Caroline Louise Watt, (nee Beall) 85, of Punta Gorda and more recently Largo, Florida passed away on July 26, 2023, following a long illness.
She is survived by her sons Tom Watt, Jr. (Patrick Palmer), Kevin (Sharon) Watt, and Don (Leslie) Watt; grandchildren Kevin (Mary Joy) Watt, Jr., Nicole (Mark) Willinger, Lauren Watt, Adam (Lauren) Watt, and Sean Watt; as well as 3 great grandchildren Brianna Watt, Brooklyn Hanson, and Hendrix Willinger, to all of whom she was lovingly known as "Grandma." She is also survived by a sister, Rita Johnson. She was very recently preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Tom Watt, Sr., and by her parents Joseph and Mattie Beall of St. Petersburg.
Born in Washington, DC, Carol was a 1956 graduate of Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport. She met and married Tom in 1957 and raised their family in Silver Spring and Clarksville, Maryland. She worked in the home until the mid-1970's before beginning a long career with the U.S. Department of Defense. Tom and Carol retired to Punta Gorda in 1998. Carol enjoyed painting, gardening, golfing, boating, traveling in their RV, and spending time with her family and close friends.
Arrangements are with Moss Feaster Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held for both Tom and Caroline at 11:00 AM on July 28, 2023, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg. A private celebration of life will be held for family this fall.
