Caroline Winters' Obituary
Caroline Mae Winters, née Phillips, age 86, passed away on February 11th, 2021 in Clearwater, Florida. She was born on May 13th, 1934 in Curtice, Ohio to Jeremiah (Jerry) & Ruth Kinney Phillips and grew up in Richland, Ohio. She was a graduate of Defiance College, Ohio and received her B.A Degree in Education. She began her teaching career in 1956 in Bryan, Ohio. She met and married her college sweetheart, John Winters, in that same year. Later, Caroline, John, and their daughter, Shelley, moved to the Cleveland area where she continued her teaching career at Olmsted Falls, Ohio. She and John eventually retired together in 1989.
Caroline is survived by her husband of 64 years, John; daughter Michelle (Shelley); son Michael; and her two grandsons, Matthew Busick & Conley Winters. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Ruth Phillips Shelton as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Frederick & Llyod Phillips.
