Carolyn Lanham-Mahs' Obituary
Carolyn Lanham-Mahs of Largo, Florida passed away on July 4, 2022. Carolyn was born in Huntington, West Virginia to Herman and Evelyn Law on October 29, 1926. She taught in the West Virginia public school system before moving to Largo, Florida. She was widowed twice by her two loving husbands, William Lanham and Gilbert Mahs.
I believe God had a purpose for creating me; and through His guidance and love and my faith and love in Him, I attempted to fulfill my mission. Where I failed, the fault was mine, not His.
I thank God for the chance:
To have had the opportunity to mold
and shape the lives and minds of
so many young adults.
To have deeply loved my husband,
my fellow man and been loved
in return.
To have abided in the greatest
country in the world and
proudly been a part of its history.
To have experienced the magic and
beauty of song.
To have communed with nature's
healing powers- like a flower-
nurtured by the sun and warm
sandy soil, drawn to water.
Please do not grieve for me as my life was full and happy; my purpose on earth is complete; God merely calls me now to a higher position.
