LONGWOOD, FLORIDA - 32750.
Carolyn T Zinzow, 95, of Longwood, Florida went home to be with both her Lord and her husband on June 4, 2021.
Lynn was born on June 3, 1926 in Caldwell, NJ to Charlene Phillips Turkington and Victor Turkington. She married her soulmate, William A. Zinzow, on June 8, 1946 after he served in the Navy on a destroyer in t he Pacific.
She graduated from Mountain Lakes High School and went on to attend Hood College until the death of her brother Quin caused her to return home to comfort family. She was a dedicated wife and mother to her three children. They enjoyed family life, living in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Florida. Lynn had a great appreciation for family gatherings and an affection for all animals. She created many enduring friendships wherever she went.
Lynn will be deeply missed by those surviving: , her son, Lee Zinzow ( Lucia), her daughters Dale Retter (George) and Cheryl Ruderman (William); her nine grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Zinzow, parents Charlene and Victor Turkington, her sister Barbara and brother Quin.
The final chapter of her life was spent at Village on the Green independent living in Longwood, Florida and then at the healthcare center. She made many special connections with friends and caregivers at that location.
Details regarding the funeral service are as follows: Friday, June 11, 2021, visitation 10AM with service starting at 11AM both at the funeral home.
