Charles Albert Braun's Obituary
Charles Albert Braun was born May 9, 1929 in Roosevelt, NY. He was born at home, prematurely and with birth paralysis. Despite starting life off with a disability he survived and fought to do things people didn't think he would be able to do. He worked several jobs in order to put himself through college, bought himself his first car and worked as a controller for the County of Nassau for 36 years. He was always the life of the party enjoyed dancing, traveling and swimming. He survived a heart attack, a quad bypass and pancreatic cancer. He was a fighter and didn't let anything stop him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and human being. His journey finally ended on August 6, 2017 at the age of 88, he has joined his wife of 44 years, Anna Braun who passed in 2007. He is survived by his children: Laura Albarano, Charles Braun, his sister: Alivina Baxter, his grandchildren: Jocelyn, Taralena, Thomas and Eric and his 2 great-grandchildren: Giovanni and Anthony. He is loved and will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.
