Charles B Harris' Obituary
HARRIS, Charles B. 63, formerly of Lockport, IL passed away September 16, 2017 in Dunedin, Florida.
Chuck was born in Evergreen Park to Donald and Catherine Harris and was the oldest of their five children. He worked for Gerdau Ameristeel for nearly 20 years before retiring and moving to Dunedin, Florida in 2014. Chuck was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed playing pickle ball, and loved riding his Harley motorcycle. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his kind heart, and his easygoing nature.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sylvia Harris; stepchildren Paul (Diane) Izral and Kristy (Ken) Abney; grandchildren Joee, Kyle, Blake, Derek, Kole, and Kayla; sisters Catherine “Lou” Harris, Susan Straub, and Patricia Sims, and a loving extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Catherine Harris; and his younger brother, Donald Harris.
A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held at a future date.
