Charlotte R. Carroll's Obituary
Charlotte Lillian (Rice) Carroll, 97, of Dunedin, died September 28, 2014. Born April 20, 1917, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Clarence Wellington Rice and Lillian Elsie Meyer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John William Carroll, and her brother, William Rice. She is survived by her son, Dennis J Carroll (Susan), of Easton, PA; and her daughter, Catherine Ann Muehling, of South Bend, IN. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Justin Carroll, Daniel Carroll, Stuart Carroll, Anna (Muehling) Mallon, Adam Muehling; five great-grandchildren; Charles Murphy Carroll, Mayowa Carroll, Tolu Carroll, Charlotte Elaine Mallon, John David Mallon; one cousin, Marion Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kansas, in 1939 with a BA in Fine Arts. Among her many interests were painting, cooking, being a loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs, and sharing her sense of humor with friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at St Mark Lutheran Church, 1120 Curlew Road, Dunedin, FL, at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the church.
