Chester H Kimball Sr.'s Obituary
Chester H. Kimball, Sr., age 94 of Clearwater, Florida, peacefully passed away March 16, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Wildwood, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1981. Chester is survived by his loving wife, Jo-Anne Kimball (nee Lampela) and children: Renee Phillips (A. Martin), Gregory (Barbara), Chester Jr. (Lisa), Tracy Squitieri (Christopher), and Teri Averill as well as grandchildren Curtis Phillips (Kim), Ryan Phillips (Molly), Kent Phillips, Tara Clymer (Dennis), Nathan Kimball (Irene), Andrew Kimball (Dena), Daniel Kimball, Chad Squitieri, Alex Squitieri, Alia Siegrist, Kira Wolfson, Chase Averill, and Cody Cade. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Paige Phillips, Cole Phillips, Luke Phillips, Avery Phillips, Piper Phillips, Hance Clymer, Mason Clymer, Daniel Kimball, Benjamin Kimball, and Isaac Kimball. Chester served valiantly in the United States Army during World War II in the Atlantic theater rising to the rank of lieutenant and then post-war to the rank of captain before mustering out. He worked for the Budd Company as the assistant treasurer in Troy, Michigan and Thyssen in New York. Chester volunteered for over eighteen years in the Pinellas County Schools and was very involved with both the teaching staff and the senior class activities, leaving an indelible mark on the many lives that he touched. He will be sorely missed by family and friends. A gathering of friends and family will be held at Moss Feaster Funeral Home on Belcher and Druid Rds. on March 24, 2015 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. www.mossfeasterclearwater.com His ashes will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery following military honors. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to Suncoast Hospice.
