Rheba Kay Sanders
This is Kay Nobles Sanders, a member of Pepperell Baptist Church many years ago. Rev. Bailey was my pastor and my "boss." A kinder, more considerate boss a person couldn't have, especially when that person was a college student working part-time as church secretary. He married me and my husband, Bill, who was a "Yankee", in 1963. My favorite story of Rev. Bailey is that he literally gave my husband the shirt off his own back! We were leaving for our honeymoon directly after the wedding reception and Bill had forgotten to put in a shirt to change into from the one that came with the formal suit. Cliff Bailey peeled off the shirt he was wearing and loaned it to Bill so we could leave right away. I do so hope we laundered and returned it. My sympathies to you, Mrs. Bailey and Wanda. I see that he died two years ago, and I'm sure you miss him so very much. With love and fond remembrance, Kay
