Clyde "Tony" Vinson's Obituary
VINSON, Clyde Anthony “Tony” 69, was born on April 13, 1948 in Springfield, Tennessee to parents Clyde Sr. and Audrey Vinson. The family moved to Safety Harbor , Fl in 1950. Tony was drafted into the U.S. Air Force in 1968 and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska. Following military service he came back to Florida and graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Criminology. He started work at the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office and spent 30 years there retiring as a detective sergeant. Tony loved to go cycling, spending time at the dog park, family, reading and enjoying his retirement.
Tony passed away peacefully on July 21, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Brenda; daughter, Stephanie Kiag; step daughters, April Metcalf, and Ashley Sanford; sisters, Betty Dempsey, Clydean Parrish, Donna Hullabarger; grandchildren, Jacob Kiag, Avery Gilberston, Madelyn Metcalf, and Mallory Metcalf ; nephew, Greg (Elena) Tolle, Tim(Becky)Tolle ; niece, Lisa(Kim)Drury
